In 2024, our non-profit fundraised and personally funded the placement of “Heartland in Bloom” in Downtown Harrisonville. During its stay, it attracted hundreds of “heart-hunters” to Harrisonville into the heart of our community!

About the Heart
"Heartland in Bloom" was selected by Love the Harrisonville Square as the 2024 Parade of Hearts heart to display for its beauty and overarching themes of community, resilence and triumph despite challenges. Those themes resignated deeply with leaders of the organization as they also relate to the story of resillence of our historice downtown and its own unique beauty.
From the Artist: "Harmony in Bloom" is more than just an art piece; it's a reflection of personal journey, resilience, and unwavering commitment to both my students and the community. As floral symbolism intertwines with Dutch still life tradition, this heart embodies the rich tapestry of emotions you've woven into it – gratitude, abundance, love, and prosperity. Through personal challenges and triumphs, this sculpture emerges as a beacon of hope, a celebration of unity, and a vibrant testament to the resilience of the human spirit."

I am a passionate artist and I loved making the heart with my community last year. In the last few years, I’ve gone from full-time artist to following my calling to become an elementary art teacher with a profound commitment to molding young minds. Equipped with a freshly acquired degree in Art Education, complementing my existing one in Fine Art from esteemed institutions, my journey has been adorned with refined artistic prowess and active engagement in prestigious art fairs, captivating solo exhibitions, and coveted commissions. These experiences have authentically forged connections with diverse individuals, enriching my understanding of art’s impact. Rooted in a pedagogical ethos that champions individuality, nurtures creativity, and empowers self-expression, my approach aims to teach a profound adoration for craft and instigate an encompassing voyage of discovery.
