This New Year’s Eve approximately seventy guests rang in the new year and decade at the Beck Event Space. The event, organized and hosted by Love the Harrisonville Square raised funds for the mission of revitalization of the downtown district and upcoming 2020 programs.
As the evening began, VIP guests were welcomed by members of Love the Harrisonville Square and then made their way to their tables, expertly and beautifully decorated by Kathy Waddle of Birdie’s Boutique and Antique. Each table sparkled with gold, silver and candle-light.
After grabbing a cocktail at the bar, they enjoyed a buffet-style dinner of Chicken Marsala, Beef Brisket, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, House Salad and Dinner Rolls was served by Thyme for Seasoning Catering and Events.
Following dinner guests enjoyed quizzing each other with 2019 Movie, Music and Event trivia at their tables, stopping by the Selfie Station for a fun photo or two, making a wish for the New Year on the Wishing Wall or making a bid in the silent auction.

Following dinner, DJ James Thomas from Productions KC, got the dancing started. Guests spent time on the dance floor, then stopped in for a drink and items from the picture perfect charcuterie board of appetizers laid out by Chef Stephanie and the Thyme for Seasoning team.
Just after 10 p.m. the Chocolate Bar was revealed to the delight of party-goers who indulged in chocolate-dipped strawberries, chocolate covered cheesecake bites, truffles and many more delectable treats.
As midnight approached, the dance floor was the place to be as guests danced, prepared for the balloon drop and champagne toast. Following the big moment, guests found someone special for a kiss, had fun stomping on the balloons and kept dancing until the evening came to an end at 12:30 a.m.
Special thanks to the members of the Love the Harrisonville Square Promotion Committee, Beck Event Space, Thyme for Seasoning Catering and Events, Productions KC and Kathy Waddle of Biridie’s Boutique and Antique for making the night a great success!!
