A SUPER Night On the Square!

The historic downtown district was the scene of a free, fun and family-friendly Super Sunday Celebration as the Chiefs took on and beat the 49ers in Super Bowl 54. The event was hosted by Love the Harrisonville Square and Chamber of Commerce along with the help of these amazing sponsors:

Guests were greeted by Chiefs themed decorations and smiling volunteers. To help raise funds for the two hosting organizations, many guests bought tickets for the “Half Raffle” a 50/50 raffle awarded at Half Time or cards for Super Bowl Bingo game.

They also enjoyed taking photos with the replica Lombardi trophy and picture wall, playing around on the mini football field and shopping for some fan gear at the mini store offered by Joni’s Fashions and Birdie’s Boutique and Antique.

Party-goers has plenty to eat with a terrific taco bar, chips, salsa, party mix, cupcakes, cookies and more provided by Chef Stephanie with Thyme for Seasoning Catering and Events. They also wet their whistle with free sodas or stopped by the bar for a $2 beer or Chiefs themed cocktail offered by Beck Event Space.

Of course the big game was the big focus of the night! With the help of Fidelity Communications, Rent-A-Center and the ingenuity of event volunteers a “TV Island” was constructed which allowed for great viewing angles from anywhere in the room. Each TV was also marked with the names of our generous sponsors.

As the game went on and the Chiefs lagged behind by 10 points, the fans held on to hope and were confident in their team’s ability to turn it around. And turn it around they did! The final moments of the game found most fans on their feet, waving their red Fidelity towels, cheering and celebrating the historic win!

Finally, this group of ecstatic fans gathered for a large group photo to commemorate the moment! Let’s hope we get to do it all again next season!
