On March 16th, Love the Harrisonville Square has been chosen as the recipient of funds raised by The Winter Market’s monthly raffle.
On the third Saturday of the month, November through December, The Winter Market gathers together a collection of local vendors, farmers and craftspeople to sell their unique items.
Amanda Stites, a volunteer Winter Market Coordinator says the group is excited to support Love the Harrisonville Square.
Per Stites, “Most of our Winter Market vendors and shoppers are Cass County residents. A good number of them also participate in events like the Harrisonville Farmers Market or the Junk on the Trunk Flea Market which take place on the Square. That makes our charity raffle a great way to give a little back to our community and a place near and dear to our hearts.”
In addition to the Winter Market, the Harrisonville Chamber of Commerce will be hosting their first Beer Fest, a craft brew tasting event, from 2 pm – 6 pm at Mill Walk Mall that day. Proceeds from that event will help support The Moving Wall, a Vietnam War Memorial, coming to Harrisonville June 27th through July 1st.
“It should be a fun day with lots to do and lots of ways to shop and support local all packed into The Mill Walk Mall! We encourage you to shake off your Winter blues and comes see us!” says Stites.
